Google Hamina - DC3, located in Hamina, Finland, is a purpose-built data center situated on a campus that was formerly a paper mill. This facility is at the forefront of Google's sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives, utilizing a cooling system that draws seawater from the Bay of Finland. A new offsite heat recovery facility, developed in collaboration with Haminan Energia, aims to recover heat to warm local homes and businesses, with an estimated 80% demand coverage.

Google has invested €3.5 billion in the Hamina region to date. In 2023, Google achieved 98% carbon-free energy (CFE) usage in Finland, with over three-quarters of this matched by contracted CFE within the Finnish grid region. The Hamina data center campus has seen significant development, with the first data center opening in 2011 and announcements in 2024 regarding the construction of a seventh data center and a €1 billion investment in Finland for sustainability and AI goals.
