CDC Brooklyn BK1 is a key component of CDC Data Centres' hyperscale digital infrastructure hub in Melbourne's west, located at 594 Geelong Road. This facility, the first stage of the Brooklyn campus, spans 70,000 m² and boasts a power capacity exceeding 150 MW. Construction for BK1 commenced in May 2022 and was completed in July 2024, with the primary electrical substation delivered as part of this initial phase. The campus is supported by a dedicated, on-site Jemena substation. As part of a significant $4+ billion investment in Western Melbourne, the Brooklyn campus, including BK1, is designed to provide critical and sustainable IT capacity, catering to the increasing demands of cloud, enterprise, and AI workloads in Victoria.
