GreenSquareDC MEL1, located at 44-76 Simcock Avenue in Spotswood, Melbourne, Australia, is a planned data center facility with an anticipated IT capacity of 240MW across three stories. The facility is scheduled to become operational in 2027.
Developed by Australian firm GreenSquareDC, which was acquired by Partners Group in March 2025, MEL1 will feature an innovative closed-loop hybrid cooling system designed to recirculate water and operate water-free for the majority of the year. The site was selected for its location within an established industrial precinct, benefiting from access to existing transport and digital infrastructure. GreenSquareDC has submitted an application for the facility to the Victoria Department of Transport and Planning.
