The Cogent Houston 2 data center is a 27,183 square foot gated facility in Texas providing 42U cabinets and private cage options. The site includes a dedicated customer work area equipped with free WiFi. Security is managed via a CCURE card reader system for 24/7 building access and continuous camera monitoring.
Infrastructure reliability is supported by two 1,500 kW diesel standby generators with 2,000amp automatic transfer switches and a 150kVA UPS unit expandable to 200kVA. Cooling is provided by multiple HVAC units, while fire safety is handled through VESDA Xtralis, Clean Agent Zones suppression, and a comprehensive fire alarm system with life safety devices. The facility offers wave-enabled connectivity and port sizes up to 100GE through multiple carriers, maintaining a high-availability environment for mission-critical hardware.
