Singtel Tuas DC is a state-of-the-art data center under construction in Singapore, with a groundbreaking ceremony that took place in August 2023. The facility is expected to be operational by 2025 and is designed to be a cornerstone of Singapore's digital infrastructure.
The data center will be an eight-story building offering 58MW of IT load capacity over a 120,000 sq ft area. It is set to be integrated with Singtel's existing cable landing station, which will enhance its connectivity capabilities. This integration will make it a key hub for international and domestic connectivity, offering customers improved network performance, lower latency, and increased reliability.
In line with Singapore's sustainability goals, Singtel Tuas DC is being constructed with a focus on green practices. It aims to achieve a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of below 1.3, which is indicative of its energy efficiency. The data center will also feature advanced cooling systems, supporting rack densities of up to 80kW per rack through more efficient liquid cooling technologies.
This project represents Singtel's largest data center in Singapore to date and reflects the company's commitment to supporting the region's growing demand for cloud services and AI adoption. The data center's design is based on Singtel's fourth-generation architecture, emphasizing high power density and hyper-connectivity with several international submarine cables directly connected to it.
