Bagneaux-sur-Loing Data Center

The Bagneaux-sur-Loing Data Center, developed by Essor Group, is situated on a former 20,720 sqm industrial site in Bagneaux-sur-Loing, south of Paris, France. This project repurposes the former Thomson factory site, integrating its historical structures. A key feature of the data center is its commitment to sustainability, with waste heat earmarked to warm a 5,500 sqm greenhouse for tomato cultivation and a planned fish farming site. The architectural design is being handled by Paris-based firm Silvio d'Ascia. The initiative has received local support, with town mayor Claude Jamet highlighting that the data center is a more suitable development for the area than a previously considered housing project, given existing infrastructure limitations.
