The proposed facility will be located at 2401 Utah Avenue South, within the Starbucks Center, which also serves as the global headquarters for Starbucks. This site was formerly occupied by an Amazon Fresh store and distribution center.
The data center is slated to occupy approximately 20,000 square feet in the former retail space and an additional 25,600 square feet in the main building. The Starbucks Center is a significant 1.8 million-square-foot complex, originally built in 1915 for Sears. The development is positioned to be just under the 20MW threshold that is subject to Seattle's data center moratorium. As of the reporting, no tenant has been secured for the facility, and the submission is a conceptual site plan to assess feasibility.
