301 Virginia Street

Digital Realty is proposing a new data center development at 301 Virginia Street in Seattle, Washington. The project involves demolishing the existing retail building and parking garage at 301 Virginia Street/1930 3rd Ave to construct a six-story facility. This 58,000 sq ft (5,388 sqm) site is planned to include a highly connected, network-dense data center, alongside R&D lab, office, and retail space. Demolition and construction are tentatively scheduled to commence in 2027. This proposed development comes as the city of Seattle is considering a moratorium on new data center developments. Digital Realty currently operates one facility in Seattle, the SEA10 carrier hotel at 2001 Sixth Avenue.
