Brightspeed Charlottesville is a 86,150 sq ft, two-story facility located at 401-419 West Main Street in Charlottesville, Virginia. The data center, built in 1949 and expanded in 1971, previously served as the Virginia Telephone and Telegraph Building and was utilized by CenturyLink. It is equipped with "100 percent redundant generator power." The property is currently owned and occupied by US internet service provider Brightspeed, which was formed in October 2022 following the acquisition of Lumen Technologies' broadband and telecom assets by Apollo Global Management, with Mubadala Investment Company also as an investor. The site is being offered for sale on an absolute NNN leaseback basis.
