Project Patriot is a proposed data center development in Granbury, Texas, located at 2801 W US Highway 377 on a 2,100-acre parcel known as Knox Ranch. Bilateral Energy, an energy infrastructure provider for data centers, AI, and high-performance compute, is the company behind the project. The project has encountered significant local opposition, leading to a lawsuit filed by Granbury residents. The lawsuit alleges procedural violations by city authorities, including improper disclosure of the rezoning and annexation's connection to the data center project. Claimants also contend that city officials violated the Texas Open Meetings Act by deliberately avoiding a quorum during a site visit to a Bilateral Energy facility in Dallas prior to the annexation. The legal action seeks to halt further development and revoke the initial annexation.
