Meta Tulsa

Meta is constructing its newest AI-optimized data center in Catoosa, Oklahoma, marking its first facility in the state and its 32nd globally. This facility is designed to support Meta's AI workloads, contributing to the advancement of its technologies. The project represents a significant investment of over $1 billion in the Tulsa region.

During peak construction, the data center is expected to create approximately 1,000 construction jobs. Once operational, it will provide around 100 permanent jobs. Meta is also investing more than $25 million in local infrastructure improvements, including roads and water systems. The company is partnering with local educational institutions like Tulsa Tech and Tulsa Community College to develop a workforce skilled in digital infrastructure careers, aiming to produce over 200 graduates annually.

The data center will utilize a water-efficient closed-loop, liquid-cooled system and is designed to minimize water usage. Meta is committed to water stewardship and aims to be water positive by 2030, implementing projects to restore water to local watersheds. Furthermore, Meta will cover the full costs of the data center's energy use and is adding over 1,500 megawatts of clean energy to the Oklahoma grid, ensuring its electricity consumption is matched with 100% clean energy.
