Meta Tulsa - Building 2

Meta is developing an AI-optimized data center in Catoosa, Oklahoma, as part of its first data center development in the state. The facility is designed to support Meta's AI workloads and future AI infrastructure needs.

The Tulsa project represents an investment of more than $1 billion in the region and is expected to support approximately 1,000 construction jobs at peak construction and around 100 permanent operational jobs once completed. Meta is also investing more than $25 million in local infrastructure improvements, including roads and water infrastructure, while partnering with Tulsa Tech and Tulsa Community College on workforce development programs for digital infrastructure careers.

The data center is designed with a water-efficient closed-loop liquid cooling system that recirculates water and is expected to use zero water for cooling for a majority of the year. Meta is also committed to water stewardship and aims to become water positive by 2030 through water restoration projects in local watersheds.

Meta will cover the full cost of the facility's energy use and associated infrastructure. Its electricity consumption will be matched with 100% clean energy, while the company is adding more than 1,500 megawatts of clean energy to the Oklahoma grid.
