Delhi Project

The Delhi Project, proposed by SN Operations (an entity of Something New LLC), is an 18MW Bitcoin mining facility planned for Jersey County, Illinois. The development is slated for a seven-acre portion of a 15-acre MJM Electric Cooperative property located at 28860 Van Horne Lane, near an existing substation. The project plans include eight removable equipment containers, cooling units, transformers, and associated electrical infrastructure, a gravel access driveway, fencing, and security cameras. The installation is described as a removable, containerized data center, with personnel on-site for maintenance and operational support. The estimated development cost is $2 million, excluding land acquisition. While project documents refer to modular digital infrastructure, the proposed workload has been identified as Bitcoin mining. The project is subject to permitting processes, with considerations for stormwater management and potential impacts on local resources and community concerns regarding electricity, water, noise, employment, and tax revenue.
