CyrusOne CHI3 is a key facility within the strategic Aurora Campus, located 45 minutes southwest of Chicago. This 16-acre campus provides 450,000 sq. ft. of technical IT space across its CHI1, CHI2, and CHI3 data centers, with a total IT capacity of 109 MW.
Designed for enterprise-class infrastructure, the campus features advanced cooling technologies, including evaporative condensing chillers and free cooling capabilities below 30°F. CHI3, like its sister facilities, offers comprehensive hosting and connectivity options, particularly beneficial for the energy, enterprise, fintech, and healthcare sectors.
Security is paramount, with 24/7 video surveillance, onsite security personnel, anti-passback turnstiles, dual-factor authentication, metal detectors, x-ray scanners, and biometric readers for data hall access. The facility also includes client office and storage space, conference rooms, and visitor WiFi.
Sustainability is a focus, with no water consumption for cooling and the use of energy-efficient technologies. The campus is insulated from regional water risk and utilizes 98% carbon-free or renewable electricity.
