Stonebridge, through Fort Meade DC, LLC, has received approval from Fort Meade City commissioners for a development agreement for its 1,300-acre data center project in Fort Meade, Florida. The campus, located west of Highway 98, will feature 4.4 million sqm (47.36 million sq ft) of data center buildings, with each structure limited to a maximum of three stories and sixty feet in height. The development agreement outlines commitments including Stonebridge's responsibility for necessary water and wastewater improvements, and the City of Fort Meade's reservation of water and wastewater capacity. However, final approval from the Southwest Florida Water Management District is still required for the city to supply water to the data center. The land parcel was previously rezoned for industrial use, and a master development plan has been approved. Fort Meade is situated in Polk County, central Florida, between Tampa and Orlando.
