DataVita DV4 - Chapelhall

DataVita DV4 is a proposed data center development by DataVita Ltd at their Chapelhall campus in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Following public consultation, revised plans include a reduced building height of 26 meters, operational plant relocated away from homes, and the planting of 1,000 meters of native hedgerow. The facility is designed to operate on 100% renewable energy with a target Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rating of 1.25. DataVita intends to implement a closed-loop cooling system to minimize water usage and is exploring the reuse of surplus heat for local facilities, including a potential community garden and greenhouse. This development is part of DataVita's expansion on the Chapelhall campus, which already hosts DV1 and is building DV3, with another facility, DV2, located in Glasgow.
