Blyth Data Centre

TBC Partners is proposing the development of the Blyth Data Centre, a significant data center campus located on a 12-hectare site at Factory Road in Cambois, United Kingdom. The proposed campus has the potential to reach 300MW in capacity and is planned to comprise one or two main data center buildings, along with an on-site substation. Construction is anticipated to take approximately 24 months, with operations expected to commence between 2030 and 2035. The site, previously part of a GlaxoSmithKline pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, is currently used for storage. The development plans include a closed-loop air-cooled conditioning plant to minimize water consumption and explore opportunities for waste heat utilization. The project is situated in a region actively developing its data center and AI infrastructure, benefiting from strong digital connectivity and renewable energy sources.
