Rubix Flix

Rubix Flix is an AI data center project located in Flix, Tarragona, Spain, developed by Rubix Data Centers, a division of Submer. The facility is being built on the site of the former Ercros chemical plant, as part of a reindustrialization initiative. The project leverages Submer's proprietary immersion cooling technology, designed for efficient AI workloads with minimized water consumption. The data center is planned to have an installed electrical capacity of between 85 and 90 MW. Construction will occur in two phases, with renders suggesting four data halls around a central building. The initiative aims to create skilled local jobs and contribute to the economic revitalization of the area, compensating for past industrial job losses. Rubix Data Centers is committed to long-term operation and collaboration with the local community and administration.
