Iridium, the infrastructure concessions arm of Grupo ACS, is developing a 50MW data center in Alcalá de Henares, a strategic location within Madrid’s “Corredor del Henares” tech corridor. The project spans 6.7 hectares and is scheduled to begin operations in 2025, marking Iridium’s entry into the operation—not just development—of digital infrastructure.
The site benefits from guaranteed energy supply and sits along Spain’s main fiber optic axis connecting Madrid to Barcelona via the A2 highway, making it highly attractive to both colocation providers and hyperscale operators. The land was acquired from Arcano Partners, who had advanced the site to a “ready-to-build” stage.
