IGIS Ansan Data Center

The IGIS Ansan Data Center, located at 624-3 Choji-dong, Danwon-gu in Ansan-si, South Korea, is a significant facility with a power capacity of 40 megawatts (MW). Lotte Innovate has secured the contract to operate this data center, which features two underground and nine aboveground floors. This award expands Lotte Innovate's collaboration with IGIS Asset Management, building upon a previous design-build-operate (DBO) contract for an edge data center.

Lotte Innovate directly manages a total of four data centers across Seoul, Yongin, and Daejeon, providing essential colocation services. These facilities offer clients a stable environment for their servers and IT equipment, supported by robust power, cooling, and security measures. The data centers also serve as a platform for Lotte Innovate's AI technology research and validation, including support for projects focused on thermal management for carbon neutrality and the development of high-density AI infrastructure.

The company is actively expanding its external data center business, with recent successes including the operation of the Cam Square data center and the DBO contract for an edge data center from IGIS Asset Management. The IGIS Ansan Data Center award marks an expansion into large-scale data center operations. Lotte Innovate aims to grow its DBO and operation portfolio to include AI and hyperscale data centers, enhancing its end-to-end business system from IT procurement to operation services, and strengthening technologies like high-efficiency cooling solutions.
