Saemangeum AI Data Center

Hyundai Motor Group is constructing a significant AI data center within the Saemangeum AI Valley, a large-scale project aimed at creating a self-sustaining industrial ecosystem. The facility will be built on a site area of 150,312㎡ with a total floor area of 101,950㎡, featuring a two-story structure. This supercomputing hub is intended to accelerate the group's research and development in advanced AI fields, such as autonomous driving, robotics, and manufacturing AI. The project involves forming a special purpose corporation for hyperscale data center construction and a separate corporation for GPU services, with plans to secure high-performance GPUs. Construction is slated to begin in March 2027, with services expected to launch in early 2030. The broader Saemangeum AI Valley integrates AI data centers with robot manufacturing, solar power generation, and clean hydrogen production.
