WBS Power 3

The WBS Power 3 project in Trzebnica, Poland, was a proposed data center with a significant 1.6GW power connection requirement. The facility was planned to include multiple buildings up to 35 meters in height, along with on-site diesel generators and energy storage systems. However, the investor, WBS Power, reportedly withdrew from purchasing the land due to Tauron's inability to guarantee the necessary energy supply. Despite the investor's withdrawal, local councilors raised concerns about ongoing planning changes that could permit data center construction, questioning the justification and cost of these procedures. The project's scale, including a substantial water demand and proximity to residential areas, also sparked debate regarding potential impacts on noise, water systems, and energy infrastructure.
