Wałbrzych Data Center

1911 Data Centres is developing a new modular data center campus in Wałbrzych, Poland—marking its entry into the Central and Eastern European infrastructure market. The project will be built in phases, with a total planned IT load capacity of 46 megawatts.

The first phase will deliver 16MW of capacity and represents an investment of PLN 700 million (approximately $193 million). Full build-out is expected to reach a value of PLN 2 billion (around $552 million), with construction scheduled to start in the second half of 2025. The campus is expected to go live in Q1 2027.

The site is located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, about 70 kilometers southwest of Wrocław and near the Czech border. It benefits from its inclusion in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone (WSSE Invest-Park) and will receive state aid under Poland’s Strategic Investment Zone program.

1911 Data Centres positions this development as a critical asset for public and private sector digital transformation. The facility will prioritize high security, energy efficiency, and resilience against evolving digital threats.

The project is billed as the largest investment of its kind in the region and among the largest in Poland. It reflects growing interest in alternative Polish locations beyond Warsaw, supported by strong local infrastructure and a skilled workforce.
