Data Center Konin

Data Center Konin is a planned 260MW AI-ready data center located in Konin, Poland, with an estimated investment of €3 billion. Developed by Central Energy Group (CGE) and in partnership with Jones Lang LaSalle, the facility is designed to be a significant player in Central and Eastern Europe's digital infrastructure. The project has secured necessary power connections and environmental permits, with construction anticipated to begin in 2027 following the confirmation of a strategic investor. The data center will draw power from nearby solar energy plants, a coal-fired plant, and battery energy storage systems (BESS), with plans for optional renewable energy sources and additional storage capacity. A district heating network utilizing waste heat from the server rooms is also planned. The project is a key part of Konin's economic transformation, moving from a coal-based economy to modern technologies and green energy, with strong support from local authorities. Its formal readiness, including secured power and advanced project documentation, positions it competitively in the global data center market.
