Nscale Fauske

Nscale Ltd., in partnership with Aker, is developing a significant AI data center project in Fauske, Norway. The facility, located on land that previously housed a trotting track, is planned to have an initial electricity consumption of 13 MW, with aspirations for expansion. Construction is anticipated to commence in 2025, with a target operational launch in 2027. The project is expected to generate around 1000 jobs during the construction phase and 100-150 permanent positions upon completion. Nscale, which spun out from Arkon Energy, focuses on hyperscaling data centers for artificial intelligence applications. The company highlights Norway's cold climate and access to clean renewable energy as key strategic advantages. This Fauske development is part of Nscale's broader expansion plans in Norway, which include other large-scale data center projects.
