Galaxy Backbone Kano

Galaxy Backbone Plc (GBB) has launched the GBB Kano, a state-of-the-art modular Tier IV data center located in Kano, Nigeria. This facility is one of only two Tier IV data centers in the country and a select few in sub-Saharan Africa, designed and constructed to meet Uptime Institute standards for high efficiency, scalability, availability, and security.

The GBB Kano data center is built to be completely fault-tolerant with maximum redundancy and disaster recovery components. It aims to support businesses and individuals by providing hosting, colocation, and cloud services, aligning with Nigeria's National Digital Economy Policy & Strategy. The facility also serves as a Data Recovery and Business Continuity center, with a storage capacity of approximately 2.2 petabytes. GBB's extensive fiber connectivity across Nigeria and its network monitoring and security operation centers further enhance its capability to provide business continuity services to corporate organizations in Nigeria and the wider African market.
