Kuwait is one of the richest and most well developed countries in the Middle East, which combines with its very central location in the region has made a lot of western busiensses establish presence there.

The country is relatively small with less than 18.000 square kilometers and a population of only about 3,4 million people. The country faces the Persian Gulf as well as the neighboring countries such as Iraq and Saudi Arabia, and as well as with those countries the primary business in Kuwait is oil. The capital city is Kuwait City located at the east coast, which also functions as a landing location for the submarine cable FOG that connects the country to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Dubai in UAE (United Arab Emirates), of which Dubai is an alternative data center location worth considering when looking for a co-location data center in the region.
