MWestIX - Mountain West Internet Exchange

The Mountain West Internet Exchange (MWestIX) is a community-supported peering platform that offers peering access at five key datacenter locations within the Salt Lake Area. MWestIX provides simple and flexible peering solutions, accommodating connections from 1 Gig to 400 Gbps. They also offer private connections between datacenters, utilizing technologies like Waves, EVPN, and VXLAN.

MWestIX boasts an extensive network with 200 miles of fiber and a capacity of 500 gigabits. They currently operate in five datacenters, including the Novva Datacenter in West Jordan, the DataBank Datacenters in Salt Lake City and Bluffdale, and the Edge Connex & Voonami Datacenters in West Valley City. With expansion plans in Idaho and Southern Utah, MWestIX aims to meet the peering needs of network operators in Utah and Idaho.
