MBIXP - Mbeya Internet eXchange Point

The Mbeya Internet Exchange Point (MBIXP) is an Internet exchange point located in Mbeya, Tanzania. It is a project initiated by the Tanzania Internet Service Providers Association (TISPA). MBIXP provides a platform for settlement-free peering, allowing network operators to route intra-ISP traffic within Mbeya. This setup ensures that all participants are on an equal footing, with no traffic prioritization or filtering rules for specific participants. All exchange resources are equally available to all participants, promoting efficiency and fairness in internet traffic management.
