frankonIX is an Internet Exchange Point (IXP) operated by handily networks, with physical locations in Nuremberg and Fürth, Germany. It offers robust interconnection options, including single-mode physical interconnects with at least 10G capacity at DHK, Hetzner, and NorthC in Nuremberg, as well as Scaleup Technologies(Formerly ODN) in Fürth. Additionally, virtual connections are available via COGENT GPE VLAN.

The peering policy at frankonIX is open to all participants, whether commercial or private, with a preference for physical connections but also accommodating virtual peering. They support educational Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) and offer direct connections via virtual machines through their operator.
