Interconnection

IX-Denver is a key part of IX-West, a Colorado-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing open, neutral, community-oriented, and membership-driven Internet, IT, and Telecommunication interconnectivity in the greater Rocky Mountain West. IX-Denver serves as the primary Internet Exchange (IX) for the Denver metro area, offering a robust and reliable platform for organizations to interconnect their networks directly.

Founded in the Denver Gas and Electric building, IX-Denver has expanded to multiple locations to better serve its members. The exchange provides a variety of interconnection options, including private interconnection, layer 2 and layer 3 connectivity, route servers, and DNS root servers. This allows organizations to benefit from lower ISP/Transit bills, increased security, and improved quality of experience by bypassing internet congestion.
