Green 1 (Italy) S.r.l.

Green 1 (Italy) Srl has proposed a preliminary data center campus in Pozzaglio ed Uniti, Italy, near Cremona. The project, designed by Arup Italia, is planned for an area of approximately 342,000 square meters, equivalent to nearly 50 football fields. This site includes the redevelopment of former industrial sites (Vivi Bikes and Silago) and agricultural land designated for productive transformation. The proposal requires urban planning variations, including increased building height allowances up to 27 meters and potential adjustments to irrigation channels. The data center is envisioned as a strategic infrastructure for digital transition, supporting AI and large-scale data management. While the construction phase may involve significant material transport, the operational phase is expected to generate limited traffic, primarily data via fiber optics. The project is currently under preliminary evaluation by relevant authorities, including environmental impact assessments.
