Google Dublin DC3, situated in Grange Castle Business Park South, Dublin, Ireland, is a data center facility. In June 2024, Google announced plans to construct a new, third building on the campus, a 72,400sqm structure expected to create up to 50 new jobs upon becoming operational in 2027. Initially denied planning permission in August 2024 due to concerns over electricity grid capacity and renewable energy, Google appealed the decision. Ireland's independent planning body, An Coimisiún Pleanála, overturned the rejection, allowing for the expansion. However, permission is subject to conditions including sustainable transport incentives for staff, ecological improvements to the campus, and adherence to environmental assessment measures. The expansion aims to support Ireland's digital economy and meet growing service demand.
