Iron Mountain Data Centers CHN-2

Iron Mountain’s CHN-2 data center is the second phase of its Chennai campus, located in Ambattur, India. Scheduled for completion in 2028, CHN-2 will deliver 19 MW of capacity, complementing the 23.2 MW from CHN-1 to form a 42 MW AI-ready campus.

The facility will feature eight data halls and contribute to nearly 800,000 square feet of total infrastructure across the site. It is designed to support high-density workloads, hyperscale deployments, and advanced compute clusters, with carrier-neutral access to Tier 1 networks.

CHN-2 will offer Iron Mountain’s full suite of services, including remote smart hands, certified engineering support, and a global NOC portal for monitoring and reporting. It will meet rigorous compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2/3, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.

Aligned with Iron Mountain’s sustainability goals, CHN-2 will be powered by 100% renewable energy. Customers can utilize the Green Power Pass to claim environmental credits in their own ESG reporting.
