IGN's high-availability data center in Munich is designed to provide businesses with maximum security, reliability, and energy efficiency. The facility boasts a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2, achieved through groundwater cooling, electronically controlled cooling units, and an optimized cold air distribution system.
Security is a top priority at IGN's data center. The building features WK2 burglary protection, F90 fire protection, and multi-level authentication for access control. Video surveillance, motion detectors, and automated fire alarms ensure continuous monitoring. The facility is equipped with argon gas fire suppression systems, eliminating the risk of water damage.
The redundant power supply guarantees uninterrupted operation. IGN utilizes a dual-feed power supply, 2(N+1) redundant UPS systems, and a preheated diesel generator capable of running for at least 72 hours. The data center maintains a 99.991% power availability rating (Tier 4).
Cooling is handled through an innovative groundwater-based system, featuring redundant wells and heat exchangers. The N+2 redundant climate control system ensures optimal temperature regulation, even under high energy loads.
The colocation space spans 380 square meters, accommodating up to 230 racks. Customers benefit from 24/7 access, redundant power and IP connections, and secure full-rack enclosures. The facility also includes fiber optic splicing services, on-site support, and rapid scalability options.
