The Hanover Data Center is a modern, energy-efficient facility under development in the Sehnde-Ost industrial park, southeast of Hanover. Set to open in mid-2025, it will offer 2,000 m² of cutting-edge colocation space and 24/7 monitoring via a dedicated Network Operation Center (NOC). Its location near the A2 motorway ensures optimal connectivity across Germany and beyond.
As part of the Datacenter Deutschland alliance, backed by energy providers envia TEL and Avacon Connect, the site is engineered for sustainability and reliability. It will run entirely on renewable energy and integrate an advanced cooling system designed to minimize its environmental impact. Waste heat will also be recovered for heating and climate control, supporting green IT goals.
The facility will support transmission speeds of up to 100 Gbps and offer modular solutions including single rack units, full technical cabinets, and private security rooms. It’s designed as an edge data center with low latency and proximity to end users, making it ideal for enterprise deployments, hybrid cloud, and digital services
