Prime Frankfurt FRA01-01, located in Hofheim am Taunus-Marxheim, Germany, is a significant hyperscale data center development. Operated by DCH GmbH, a joint venture between Süwag Energie and Prime Data Centers, and developed by Data Center Group, this facility is designed to meet the demands of AI and hyperscale clients.
The campus spans 2.8 acres and will feature a 15,000 sq m building with 2 data halls, offering a total critical IT load of 20MW. The design emphasizes high performance with concurrently maintainable M&E systems and both air and liquid cooling solutions. A key aspect of the project is its commitment to sustainability, with plans for 100% renewable energy, integrated photovoltaic systems, a green roof covering at least 70%, and a green facade. The facility aims for a PUE target of ≤1.2.
Further technical details include a maximum grid connection of 30 MVA and provisions for waste heat recovery up to approximately 18 MW, feeding into a low-temperature district heating network. The data center is being built to meet stringent standards, including LEED, DIN EN 50600, and Uptime Institute Tier Design. Connectivity is supported by proximity to 6 carriers, and security is comprehensive and layered. The projected commissioning is Q1 2028.
