The CAPBP Data Center, located at 22 Rue Roger Salengro in Pau, France, is a 1MW facility developed by Axione. Costing €3 million, it is funded by the Pau Béarn Pyrénées Agglomeration (CAPBP) and aims to be a vital part of the region's digital development. The data center will provide data hosting services to local government agencies, businesses, and digital sector partners, emphasizing the optimization of data security and sovereignty through local storage and control. The facility will occupy a 450 sqm building and accommodate up to 44 racks, a significant expansion from the 14 racks currently in use at the town hall. It will employ free cooling technology and target a maximum Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rating of 1.4. Construction is in progress, with an expected online date of October 2027.
