Kalgan Datacenter, located in Arpajon, France, is an ecological facility developed by Aqua Ray SAS, aiming to address digital sovereignty and minimize environmental impact. Construction is slated to commence in 2025.

This data center is designed with sustainability at its core, incorporating innovations such as Canadian wells for natural air cooling, adiabatic cooling for energy efficiency, and the recycling of waste heat to warm an agricultural greenhouse for year-round local produce cultivation. Kalgan is committed to offering a French Sovereign Cloud infrastructure, independent of external data centers, while significantly reducing its carbon footprint.

The facility will provide optimum legal security with a Tier IV, ISO27001, HDS certified, and SecNumCloud qualified infrastructure. Technical specifications include 5 computer rooms, an IT capacity of 1 MW, and the capability to host 10,000 servers. Kalgan will feature an innovative electrical backup system utilizing flywheels for kinetic energy storage, reducing reliance on chemical batteries, thereby enhancing energy resilience, fire safety, and environmental friendliness.
