Cirion RIO2

Cirion Technologies is set to expand its data center presence in Rio de Janeiro with the acquisition of a 15,000 square meter parcel of land adjacent to its existing RIO1 facility. The new site, located in the São Cristovão neighborhood, will house the RIO2 data center, a 60 megawatt carrier-neutral facility. Slated for operation in 2026, RIO2 will join Cirion's Brazilian platform, which includes data center campuses in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Curitiba, all strategically situated in secure and accessible regions near major business centers. This expansion is a strategic move by Cirion to meet the growing demand for digital infrastructure in Latin America, backed by Stonepeak's extensive investment portfolio. RIO2 will offer colocation, cross connectivity, and disaster recovery services, integrating into Cirion's broader network of 18 data centers across the region.
