Raiffeisen Informatik Data Center (RDC)

The Raiffeisen Informatik Data Center (RDC), located in Vienna, Austria, is a highly secure and powerful facility designed for optimal operational efficiency. With a covered surface area of 6,400 m², it is built in two modular expansion stages to accommodate future growth without interrupting ongoing operations.

The data center boasts a server room area of 4,800 m², equipped with STULZ CyberAir 3 precision air conditioning units. These units ensure precise cooling through a circulatory process, delivering cooled air directly into the raised floor. Hot and cold zones are structurally separated for enhanced efficiency. The cooling infrastructure operates on an "n+1" principle for chilled water generation and distribution, ensuring continuous operation even during unit failure or maintenance. Redundant chillers and precision air conditioning cabinets are installed, with each supply rail capable of handling the full cooling capacity of a server room.

Energy efficiency is a key focus, with a hybrid recooling system capable of operating in Free Cooling mode. This system utilizes high-powered recoolers and osmosis-treated groundwater for optimal cooling performance. The facility also integrates a heating/cooling ceiling system for office areas, utilizing the server room's chilled water system as a heat source or sink.

The RDC has achieved TÜV TSI certification, confirming its adherence to the latest quality standards and providing customers with assurance of maximum availability and fail-safe infrastructure for their externally stored data.
