Plan Project Management has filed a SEARS application to develop a 1GW data center campus in Kemps Creek, Sydney. Known as the Mamre Road Data Centre Campus, the AU$5 billion project will span six four-story buildings totaling 400,000 square meters and house up to 24 data halls.
The 52-hectare site at 706–752 Mamre Road will include up to four substations, 936 cooling units, and 852 diesel backup generators. Plans also call for 7,488 lithium-ion battery cabinets to support energy storage and resilience.
The land is owned by ISPT and masterplanned for industrial use, with construction expected to begin in early 2026. The project positions Kemps Creek as a major hyperscale hub, joining other developments in the area including a nearby Microsoft campus.
