12 Frederick Street

Gateway Capital is planning the development of an 81MW data center located at 12 Frederick Street in St Leonards, Sydney, Australia. The project, named the Frederick Street Data Centre, is set to occupy 1.8 hectares and will feature a five-story building spanning 16,635 sqm (179,058 sq ft). The facility will include an on-site substation, 11 data halls, and 44 generators. The estimated investment for this project could reach AU$1 billion (US$720 million). Gateway Capital, an Australian investment management business, acquired the site in 2023. The construction and operation of the data center will be a collaboration between Gateway Capital and Lendlease, a prominent Australian real estate firm.
