NEXTDC - Lovely Banks

NEXTDC, an Australian data center firm, has acquired a substantial 169-hectare parcel of land in Lovely Banks, Victoria, approximately 70km west of Melbourne. The acquisition, costing AU$165 million, positions the company strategically near a major substation and the Victorian Big Battery storage site. This development is part of NEXTDC's broader expansion strategy, which includes existing and planned data centers across Australia and internationally. The Lovely Banks site's proximity to key infrastructure suggests potential for large-scale data center operations, complementing NEXTDC's existing Edge facility development in Geelong.
