Project Meridien

Project Meridien, located in Lagrange, Australia, is a proposed hyperscale data center with a maximum IT load of 1,000 MW (1 GW), intended for AI training and high-performance computing. The initial development stage is planned for 48 MW IT load, with subsequent stages reaching up to 1,000 MW. The facility will primarily feature single-storey data halls with modular capacity of approximately 12 MW IT per module. It will utilize a closed-loop liquid-cooling system, targeting a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) below 1.4. The data center is designed to operate independently of the state electricity grid and will have planned redundant fiber routes for network connectivity. Gingerah Energy, the developer, also states targets for Tier III availability, 99.999% availability, and a renewable-energy share of 82-99%+, depending on configuration.
