X2M Connect Data Centre

X2M Connect, an Australian Internet of Things (IoT) firm, is partnering with Resi Ventures to develop a significant data center and energy infrastructure precinct. Located approximately 10 kilometers from Ballarat in regional Victoria, Australia, the project is situated on land recently settled by Resi Ventures. This precinct is planned to feature a data center with a potential capacity ranging from 10-100MW, specifically designed to support high-density AI compute workloads.

In addition to the data center, the development will include a 10MW+ battery energy storage system, heavy electric vehicle charging facilities, an anaerobic biodigester, and hot house horticulture. X2M Connect will be responsible for managing the power, cooling, and connectivity aspects of the precinct, operating it as a unified management system. The company is actively pursuing a pipeline of data center expansion opportunities across Australia, with additional sites under consideration. This initiative aligns with X2M Connect's broader strategy of developing integrated data center and energy projects in regional Australia.
