Saigon Asset Management (SAM) is developing SAM DigitalHub, a significant data center campus located in the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This ambitious project is positioned as 'Vietnam's largest data center campus,' spanning 124 acres and designed to deliver a substantial 150MW of IT capacity. SAM DigitalHub aims to address key challenges previously faced by hyperscale clients in Vietnam, namely licensing, land acquisition, and power availability, through its strategic partnership with VSIP. The initiative involves a targeted investment of up to $1.5 billion and includes a commitment to an initial renewable energy capacity of 50MW. PMX, a Malaysian data center firm with a track record of delivering large-scale projects, is a key stakeholder. SAM, a US private equity firm established in 2007 with a focus on sectors including data centers, is spearheading this development, supported by its $300 million Vietnam Data Center Fund aimed at attracting international investment for digital infrastructure.
