Crusoe

Project Jade Campus, located near Terry Ranch Road in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is a significant data center development by Crusoe Cloud. The campus is designed to be powered by natural gas, with an initial capacity of 1.8GW, expandable to 10GW.

Tallgrass, a power company, is constructing adjacent power facilities, the BFC Power and Cheyenne Power Hub, to supply electricity to the data center via natural gas turbines. This energy infrastructure represents a substantial investment, with the total project cost potentially reaching $50 billion.

Wyoming's abundant energy production, exceeding its citizens' consumption, makes it an ideal location for such digital infrastructure. Governor Mark Gordon highlighted the state's readiness to support data center growth, emphasizing the economic benefits and the suitability of Wyoming's climate for cooling.

Crusoe Cloud plans to utilize a closed-loop cooling system to minimize water consumption. The initial phase of the campus is anticipated to have its first data center buildings operational by 2027.
