Meta Cheyenne

Meta's new data center in Cheyenne, Wyoming, represents a significant investment in the region's technological infrastructure. With an $800 million commitment, the 715,000-square-foot facility is poised to become a cornerstone of Meta's global operations, which are supported by 100% renewable energy and have achieved net zero emissions. The data center is expected to create approximately 100 operational jobs once completed, with over 1,000 skilled trade workers on-site at the peak of construction.

Sustainability is a key focus for the Cheyenne Data Center. Meta aims to be water positive by 2030, meaning the company plans to restore more water than it consumes. The facility will incorporate water-saving technologies and landscaping with native, drought-resistant vegetation. Additionally, Meta is partnering with local entities to support water restoration projects, such as increasing the storage capacity of a livestock reservoir and helping restore Crow Creek.
