Monarch Compute Campus

The Monarch Compute Campus, located in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, is a significant digital infrastructure project by Nscale Ltd. designed to address the escalating demands of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. This expansive 2,250-acre campus is set to become the first state-certified AI microgrid in the U.S., with a planned scalability to 8 gigawatts of clean, renewable power by 2031. Initially, it will feature 2 gigawatts of power capacity operational by 2028 to support the burgeoning AI infrastructure market in the United States. Nscale's acquisition of the Monarch Compute Campus and American Intelligence & Power Corporation (AIPCorp) is part of a strategy to create a vertically integrated power-and-compute model, aiming to resolve energy and compute bottlenecks. The campus benefits from a unique microgrid district designation under West Virginia law, enabling robust onsite power generation for its AI data centers. Nscale specializes in scalable AI infrastructure for training, fine-tuning, and inference across Europe and North America.
